Adam Nusgart, O.D.

Adam M. Nusgart, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry from The Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Services in 2018. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The Ohio State University in 2014.

Upon graduating from optometry school, he broadened his knowledge and expertise in ocular disease through residency with the Veteran’s Administration at the Perry Point VA Medical Center in Maryland. There, Dr. Nusgart worked alongside glaucoma and retina specialists and took part in observing complex retinal surgeries. Additionally, he rotated through the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital while receiving extensive training in treating and managing ocular pathology, particularly glaucoma.

Dr. Nusgart says he has always had a natural desire to impact those around him positively. As an Optometrist, he plays a crucial role in improving his patient's quality of life by diagnosing and treating various eye conditions. His strong foundation and interest in the science and biology of the eye is personal, as he was prescribed my first pair of glasses at six years old. From then on, he was forever curious about the complexities of the human eye. After shadowing an incredible Optometrist while in Undergraduate school, he instantly knew that he wanted to be a part of this amazing healthcare community to help those with ocular and vision conditions.

When not seeing patients, Dr. Nusgart can be found spending time with his wife, Erica, and son, Will. They enjoy many outdoor activities, such as camping, kayaking, and hiking. As huge football fans, they look forward to Fall when Buckeye Football begins, occasionally returning to campus and enjoying the atmosphere where they first met.
